Schedule for Civil Services, 2012 coaching programme



1. Last date for submission of form - : 25 August (Thursday)

2. Written Test -GS, CSAT (objective type) and Essay: 11September(Sunday) At 10.00.am to 12.p.m, Venue: Jamia School

3. Result of written test -: 27 September (Tuesday)

4. Interview: 03 and 04 October (Monday and Tuesday)

5. Final Result: 10 October (Monday)

6. Last date for completion of admission: 13 October (Thursday)

7. Admission for Waiting list candidates: 14 October (Friday)

8. Classes (Orientation): 17 October (Monday) - at 11.30am





Written test would comprise General Studies and CSAT (objective type) on UPSC model, and Essay writing in English/Hindi/Urdu to test candidate’s ability to express themselves in an organised and structured manner
Only those candidates who have already completed their Graduation need to apply.
Only those candidates who have not availed any free coaching for civil services examination sponsored by the Centre/State Government are eligible
Coaching will include (a) classes on General Studies, CSAT and selected optional papers—History, Public Administration, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Urdu, Hindi, Persian and Arabic (b) Test series and evaluation shall be carried out by faculty members of Jamia and professional Faculties (c) Essay writing practice shall form part of the curriculum .
The coaching of following subjects may also be provided- Economics, Law and Psychology
The Academy will also conduct Mock Interview for selected candidates
The Hostel Accommodation (without food) is being arranged.

Application form may be obtained from the office of the Centre at Old SRK Hostel Building, JMI, or downloaded from Jamia’s Website (www.jmi.ac.in)

Applications have to be submitted at the office of the Centre with a fee of Rs. 100:00. in cash/Bank Draft/PO (to be drawn in favour of Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025) or through post, with a self addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.25/-

Shena Aggarwal IAS topper 2011-2012 who has topped the civil services exams conducted by UPSC says that result has taken her by surprise. She was expecting a good rank this time but her rank is way above her expectations.
